September 2nd – 4th, the PKC International championships
were held in Indianapolis at the Marriott. There were approximately
600 competitors in attendance with the United States being well
represented. All-American Karate Academy’s competition
team fared well in the Labor Day weekend event. The team came
away with five international champion titles as well as other
finishes in the top four. |

International Champions are as follows:
Niki St. Pierre for black belt self defense
Teresa Dagley for women’s novice kumite and kata
Lane St. Pierre for men’s light weight intermediate kumite
Laura Major for girls ages 13-17 novice kumite
Arick Gardner for boys ages 13-15 novice kumite |

Huber received 3rd in boys ages 13-15 kumite and 4th in kata,
while Phill Kass placed 4th in both kumite and kata for the
advanced boys ages 15-17 division, and Izaak Zaring earned 4th
in boys ages 15-17 novice kumite. Tyler Hudson and Megan Major
also participated in the event. |
Saturday
evening there was a banquet held for all those who obtained
a National title. All-American Karate’s team received
several national awards including:
Lane St. Pierre – 1st for kumite
Teresa Dagley – 1st for kumite and 2nd in kata
Laura Major – 1st for kumite and 4th in kata
Brandon Huber – 1st kumite and 7th in kata
Phill Kass – 1st in kata and 2nd in kumite
Cassie Gibson – 2nd in kumite
Tyler Hudson – 3rd in kumite
Joey Kass – 5th in kumite and 7th in kata
Izaak Zaring – 6th in kumite
Niki St. Pierre – 8th in self defense
Arick Gardner – 8th in kumite
Donald Smallwood – 10th in kata |
